Living Hope

In a world desperate for hope, Scripture reminds us that Christians have been given a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This hope is not wishful thinking but a confident assurance rooted in the fact that Christ is alive. Peter shows that our hope is secure because God guards our inheritance, strengthening because trials refine our faith, and transforming as it fills us with love for Jesus and inexpressible joy. Paul adds that our hope also points forward—Jesus will return, the dead in Christ will rise, and we will be with the Lord forever. Because Jesus died, rose, and is coming again, we can live each day with hope that is strong, joyful, and eternal.
