How it all started...
New Life Christian Church | Albert Lea is part of the Restoration Movement Fellowship of Churches. There are over 5,900 sister congregations in the USA and an estimated 12,000 overseas. We are usually identified as Church of Christ or Christian Churches. Each congregation is an independent body of believers with the goal and desire to restore the traditions of Christ in our teachings and practices.
We seek not to be the only Christians, but to be Christians only, using God's Holy Spirit and the Bible as our guide and standard.
Our church was founded in Albert Lea March 20, 1949, and met in the homes of congregants until a building was found to meet in and from 1952 through 1964.
At that time, our church was on the corner of Main and Euclid AVE in Albert Lea.
Ground was broken at the current site of the church on Marshall Street on Easter Sunday of 1970.
The building was completed, and worship was held for the first time in the new building on October 11, 1970.
The current gym/fellowship hall was added onto the building in 1988.
In July of 2011, the congregation voted to change the name of the church from Church of Christ to our current name of New Life Christian Church.

Expanding the vision...
We envision New Life Christian Church as a thriving community of believers who encourage one another in faith (Hebrews 10:24–25), build genuine connections through Christ-centered relationships (Ephesians 4:15–16), and grow as devoted disciples of Jesus (Matthew 28:19–20). Empowered by the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8), we reach beyond our walls with compassion and truth, serving our neighbors and sharing the good news of God’s love so that all may come to know the hope found in Christ.
