1 Peter Series: Therefore

Jesus suffered for our sins, rose from the grave, and now reigns in victory. Because we belong to Him, His victory should change the way we live. Peter calls us to leave our old way of life behind, remain faithful when others do not understand, and spend the rest of our lives pursuing the will of God. As we witness a baptism this Sunday, we will be reminded of what baptism declares: the old life is behind us, we belong to Jesus, and we have been raised to walk in a new life. Because of everything Christ has done for us—therefore, let us live for Him.
