Stand Firm: Make the Time Count

1 Peter 4:7-11

Our time is short; spend it on what matters.

Peter’s reminder that “the end of all things is near” is not an invitation to calculate dates or live in fear. It is a call to recognize that our time is limited and to live faithfully with whatever time God has given us. In 1 Peter 4:7–11, Peter gives us three practical ways to make our time count: pray intentionally, love one another deeply, and use our gifts to serve others.

Rather than spending our lives consumed by worry, holding grudges, or waiting for “someday,” Peter challenges us to focus on what matters for eternity. When we depend on God through prayer, make room for others through love, and serve with the strength He provides, God’s grace becomes visible through us—and He receives the glory.
