The Christian life isn’t passive. God has given us new life in Christ, but we are called to live it out intentionally. In Colossians 3, Paul challenges believers to set their minds on things above, put to death the old sinful nature, and put on the character of Christ.
Too often, we tolerate the very things that keep us from experiencing the life God has for us. But Scripture is clear—sin is not to be managed, but put to death. At the same time, we are called to actively clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, and love.
This message challenges us to stop excusing sin, put to death what doesn’t belong, and live as who we already are in Christ.
