Good morning. This is a very special Lord’s Day of worship here at New Life Christian Church. Today’s worship will be led by our youth. The greetings, prayers, meditations, sermon message, and songs will come to us from our young people.
It is weird for me to be in attendance without saying anything, but I will do my best.
I would like to say this about our worship today: I am extremely proud of our young people! They are incredible, talented, thoughtful, polite, and trustworthy. Our Lord will use them well to speak to us in every way today.
The apostle Paul had this advice for his young protégée, Timothy: Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
I am confident that our younger brothers and sisters in Christ will be wonderful examples today to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
Please, lift them up in prayer for today’s worship, but also every day. It was difficult enough to be a Christian young person decades ago when some of us who are now older were in our teens. I can’t imagine how difficult it would be today, given the darkness of our world and the way that sin is embraced as being “right”. Let’s pray always for the strength of the Lord to rest upon them.
To these younger, fellow servants of our Lord Jesus: God bless you! May you share His light brilliantly today and always!
