Promises 12-30-22

Good morning. As we wind down the year 2022, I would like to share with you a few of the promises of God to tuck away and remember when circumstances call for them.

Should you ever be confused and unsure of your day, your week, your month, or your year: “I know what I am planning for you,” says the Lord. “I have good plans for you, plans for your wellbeing, not plans to harm you. They are plans to give you a future filled with hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

Should you ever feel alone, wondering where God is when you need Him most: “I am the Holy One, and I am in your midst, I will not come upon you in wrath.” Hosea 11:9 Should you ever wonder if God is paying attention, is He truly listening for your voice: “It shall come to pass that before they call on Me, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:24

When you wonder if you will ever find the strength to win the victory over the temptations that seem to plague you: For sin shall not rule over you, for you are not under the law you are within God’s grace. Romans 6:14

When you are unsure, not knowing what is the next right step to take: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

When you feel the burden of guilt: “I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like a mist; return to me, for I have redeemed you.” Isaiah 44:22

When the promised peace seems illusive: You will keep the one whose mind is set on You, You will hold close the one who places their trust in You. Isaiah 26:3

When the world seems too big and bad for you to feel secure: So we may boldly proclaim: “The Lord is my helper; I will never fear. When God is for me, what can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:6

God is faithful, and God is capable, and God is loving and kind. Trust Him.
