Good morning. He came to us to be seen. He lives today in all glory, and He continues to be seen.
When the babe was born in the stable in Bethlehem the shepherd’s first thought was, “Come, let us go and see for ourselves this thing that has happened, what the LORD has told us about” Luke 2:15
John begins his gospel with his wonderful description of Jesus. John 1:14 tells us, And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Peter, when assuring all readers of the absolute reliability of the testimony of the apostles as recorded in scripture writes: For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 2 Peter 1:16
The apostle Paul, when writing the Ephesians proclaimed this regarding the Lord’s church: which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.Ephesians 1:23
In Jesus, God came near, and He did so to be seen. Those who have seen Him are never the same.
The apostles tell us they had seen His glory, that they were eyewitnesses of His majesty, and they were a part of His body, His church, which was and is a continuous revelation of the fullness of him who fills all in all.
Today, we, those who are His body, His church, are an essential part of that continuous revelation.
When the world looks for God, they must see Jesus. When the world needs to see Jesus, they must see Him in us. Anything less is a failure.
Reveal Him today. In all of His majesty and glory, reveal Him today. Through words and acts of patient love, reveal Him today.
