Good morning. God has had you in mind for a very long time. In fact, God has had you in His mind before there even was time. Please consider a few verses of scripture with me today:
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
We are, this literally says, God’s masterpiece. Jesus is the medium through which God creates these masterpieces. But we are not merely to be admired. No, we are fully functional, beautiful because of the good things God created us to accomplish – which God prepared beforehand.
But now thus says the Lord,
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine. Isaiah 43:1
God has redeemed us, each and every one. God knows us and calls us by name, each and every one of us. Why? Because we are His. We are His pride and joy as well as His possession.
Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows. Luke 12:7 (the words of Jesus)
There is nothing about you that is too small or insignificant for God not to know. You are valuable, His treasure, in fact.
God’s love for you is wonderful, magnificent, and marvelous. Yes, all of those words are true. But there is one more word that is, perhaps, even more dear to us. His love for each of us is personal. God – loves – you!
