Good morning. Homework…that was always a dreadful subject back in our school days. I hope that this isn’t a dreadful suggestion, but I would ask that you consider the following scriptures as something of a “homework” lesson. Each one shares truth about the nature and character of our Father God.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:18-20
The Lord is gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. Psalm 103:8
He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be any mourning, not crying, nor pain anymore, for all of these former things have passed away. Revelation 21:4
He does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:10-12
It is not enough to read through these verses from God’s Word. It is important that we meditate on their truth, prayerfully consider their application, wonder at the love of God revealed in each word.
Please do so today and be blessed as you complete your assignment.:-)
