Did They Know? 04-02-23

Good morning.

His embrace made empty lives feel hope.

His touch healed lepers.

He made mud and healed the blind man.

He commanded, and the crippled man stood up and walked.

He fed thousands with a few biscuits and a couple of small fish.

He stilled a raging storm with a single word of command.

He raised the dead with another command.

He entered Jerusalem and was hailed as King.

He carried our sin with one sacrifice.

He won the impossible victory with one great miracle.

It would seem to be impossible to come close to Jesus and not recognize that He was and is the Son of the Living God, the Anointed One, the Savior.

Not everyone who saw Him when He walked among us understood that truth. Why not? How could they witness such miracles and not see that God had come to us in the flesh to meet our ultimate need? Could it be that they saw with their eyes while their hearts remained blind?

If only our world could see Him today! If they could see Him, how could they not understand that the same Savior who answered the call of calvary continues to save today? If only they could see Him.

For we are the temple of the living God; as God said,

“I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.”  2 Corinthians 6:16

The love of God continues to be on display, as is His power and His glory. We are the temple of the living God. He is our up close and personal God, the Father, Son, and Spirit.

May we worship today in such a way that we know the presence of the Living God. May we leave our places of worship today ready to display His truth and glory in a God starved world. May they know His truth as He reveals it in us.
