Good morning. All is a short word, only three letters. In Greek, “all” is the word, “pas”. In Hebrew, “all” is the word, “kal”. In each case it is a very short, one syllable word. But in each case that short word carries powerful intention and purpose. When God says “all” He means it. When God says “all” He intends for us to understand that it means everything, no reservation, nothing held back.
Jesus was asked by an expert in the Law of Moses: “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:28-31
We read in Romans 3:23 regarding the need for a Savior: For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Regarding possibilities, we read in Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Regarding God’s love and power, we read in Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him and are called in accordance with His will.
The voice of God from His throne in heaven proclaims: “Behold! I am making all things new!”
As for His Word: All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16
The list of scriptures could go on in great length, for God has never been slow to use that absolute and all-encompassing reference.
When God says “all” He means just that, ALL. All of Him is for us and with us. All of us, every part of us individually and every aspect of us collectively, is to be for Him and with Him. All of our heart, and all of our obedience. All of our trust, and all of our love. God desires nothing less, and our loving Father God deserves our ALL for Him.
