Good morning. I would like to share with you today a different kind of prayer. I’m not sure who the author is, but it is a prayer that hits close to home, perhaps for some of you as well.
Lord grant me the strength
That I may not fall
Into the clutches of cholesterol.
The road to hell us paved with butter,
Cake is cursed, cream awful
And Satan is hiding in every waffle.
Beelzebub is a chocolate drop,
Lucifer is a lollipop.
Teach me the evils of Hollandaise,
Of pasta and gobs of mayonnaise,
And crisp fried chicken from the South,
If you love me Lord, SHUT MY MOUTH!
Amen.
The battles we face in our everyday lives, the Lord knows them, and He will love us through them all. The following scripture is a wonderful reminder that we are his, no matter what:
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39
Enjoy a wonderful day.
