Good morning. As we prepare for a wonderful day in the Lord, I pray that you are able to engage in meaningful worship with like-minded believers who love the Lord. There is a greater joy in worship when it is experienced in harmony.
As we worship today, perhaps we could consider with utmost care the wonder of Jesus Christ. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11
Think of it, of what has been done for us:
Heaven opened and placed its most precious One in a human womb.
The omnipotent One, in an instant, made Himself breakable, able to be wounded and killed.
He who is purely Spirit became, for a time, pierceable.
He who is bigger, greater than all the universe, became an embryo.
He who sustains the universe with His words chose to become dependent for nourishment at the breast of a young woman.
God came to us, from the throne of glory, from the heights of heaven, God came to us.
God continues to come to us. No matter our sins and failures, God continues to come to us.
Please worship well today, and please remember the wonder of Him, He who is so very worthy of our worship.
